Standing out against the ocean of creativity is challenging.

In the midst of modernity's cheaply produced entertainment, whether it be through artificial intelligence, corporate short cuts, or random memes printed on t-shirts, artists stand in the middle. Everybody's holding a sign that says "Look at me! Look what I can do!"

As they should! (Except for AI "artists", I'm not talking about you.)

I believe that every person does have something to offer.

Anyone can be an artist. If you've touched a pencil to draw a stick figure before - congratulations, that was you art-ing.

That's because at the end of the day, that picture is about connection. The idea that another being could walk up to it and say that yes, they think the stick man needs bigger legs too. With every stroke of a brush or stylus, artists put a piece of their soul onto a canvas. Such a precious thing - only to get thrown into the void of social media.

It can be an addictive and miserable process, or a lovely and satisfying journey. My goal is to aim for the satisfying one.

So what is Artist's Flock

It's a journal and blog, from yours truly, where others may hopefully resonate with it. A collection of my endeavors through writing, art, research, fails, lessons learned, and victories. Anyone with a touch of creativity or curiosity is welcome.

-Thanks for reading, Vivi
